scc score Experience Weeks 2025: Companies launch their digital success stories

Many companies recognise the need to digitalise their processes but find it difficult to take the first concrete steps. Small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, lack the methodological tools to tackle digitisation projects strategically. There is often a lack of resources and of people in charge who can take the necessary objective view. This is precisely where the scc score Experience Weeks come in. The programme was developed by scc score in collaboration with its partners Digital Excellence GmbH and MindTech FlexCo. The aim is to make digitalisation tangible and actionable. In structured workshops, real-world processes are analysed, potential is identified and concrete implementation steps are developed.

From theory to practice

Each day of the workshop was clearly structured, with a methodological session in the morning and practical work in the afternoon.

In the morning, participants received methodological input. In addition, a Digital Readiness Check was carried out to assess the companies’ current position in terms of their digital maturity.

The afternoon was then entirely devoted to practical application. Working in small groups, the participants tackled real-world processes. First, a target state was defined for each process. This was followed by an analysis of the current state. Challenges and weaknesses that were hindering the digitalisation of the processes were identified. In the next step, the so-called ‘digital cards’ were used. These offer over 100 potential solutions – ranging from technologies and methods to organisational levers. Based on these digital cards, ideas were gathered and ways identified to overcome the challenges. These measures were then prioritised and translated into an individual project roadmap, which can be implemented directly within the company in the next step.

Impressions
The participants therefore went home with a greater wealth of knowledge and were also equipped with the practical skills needed to apply the methodology used to their own processes.

Key Takeaways

1
Tailor-made solutions rather than off-the-shelf approaches
Digital transformation does not follow a one-size-fits-all formula. Every company has its own specific circumstances. And that is precisely why individualised approaches are needed rather than generic tools or blueprints.
2
Process management is a prerequisite for digitalisation
Anyone wishing to digitalise must first have a clear understanding of their processes. Without a well-defined structure, there is nothing that can be meaningfully automated or improved.
3
External facilitation as the key to success
A neutral outside perspective helps to identify blind spots and ensure discussions are results-oriented. External partners provide methodological rigour and ensure that the focus is not lost.

What our participants say:

1
“A truly successful seminar – even though I didn’t have high expectations at the start. I brought along a real-life process from our company that hadn’t been working up to that point. With the help of the score method, I was able to rethink the process from scratch. I was delighted with the result: I realised that the process does in fact work and is very well suited to digitalisation.”
2
“I’d already come with a specific approach – but it was fascinating to see how much had shifted and evolved, from the process vision right through to the roadmap. I’m very happy to take these insights away with me, and we’ll be following them up within the company. One challenge remains for me: who do I implement this with? I need people who are open to change – and ideally a neutral facilitator who isn’t familiar with the process and can support our teams impartially yet purposefully.”
3
Digitalisation is a complex topic. I came in without high expectations – but came out with new ideas. The topic of customer profiling particularly struck a chord with me. Without the workshop, I wouldn’t have had this insight.”
4
From a solution approach to a roadmap: my perspective has changed significantly over the course of the day. Now we need the right people internally who are open to change – and a neutral facilitator who can guide the process.”
5
The combination of theory and practice – first a specialist presentation on AI, then applying it to our own process – was really effective. The cards helped enormously with generating ideas and finding solutions.”

Why external support is often needed

Small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, frequently reach their limits when undertaking digitalisation projects. Whilst large companies can draw on specialised corporate functions or in-house teams of experts, SMEs often lack the resources, specialist knowledge or simply an outside perspective.

External facilitation brings structure to the decision-making process, ensures methodological rigour and helps to focus attention on strategically relevant issues. At the same time, the knowledge already present within the company is specifically harnessed, without clinging to established patterns out of professional blindness. After all, those who work within their own system for too long often lose their sense of where the problems lie. This is precisely where the value of scc score as a neutral sparring partner lies: we create clarity, broaden perspectives and steer the digitalisation project in the right direction.
Digital transformation requires structure, method and the courage to make decisions. The scc score Experience Weeks have demonstrated what this journey can look like: from problem to solution and from solution to implementation.

We want our clients to shine. We help them do that.

Anyone looking to get started but not yet sure exactly how or where can find guidance here. Anyone who realises they lack internal resources or an impartial perspective will receive methodological support. Three things are crucial here:

Digitalisation cannot be implemented without clear process management. We show you how it’s done.

It’s not the technology that comes first, but the vision. Digitalisation must stem from the company’s strategic vision.

Even those with limited internal capacity need not miss out on progress. scc score brings experience, structure and an impartial perspective to the table, helping to identify the right levers for change.

Are you ready for the future too?

Whether it’s inspiration, methodology or concrete implementation: we meet companies where they are and work together to develop a bespoke digitalisation roadmap. "Get agile or go down tryin'". What reads like the title of a new rap album is the motto of our time. Because if you want to continue to exist as a company, you have to be agile and remain flexible. In other words, welcome, allow and manage change. And for this to succeed, it is essential to take a more holistic view of projects, to analyze processes, but also to say goodbye to old ways of thinking and to explore potential conflicts. The topic of the hour is therefore: project and process management, including change management. And for this reason, we have also been dealing with this for a long time.
