Secure systems – both externally and internally: How we supported Frequentis AG with its SAP S/4HANA conversion
A strict schedule and new features – these are two factors that can make an SAP conversion a challenge. And these two factors also played a part in one of our most recent projects. All this in a complex industry where nothing is left to chance. But we pulled together and were ultimately able to draw a positive conclusion. We’ll tell you exactly which company we had the pleasure of supporting, how we did so, and what it has to do with a spaceship.
The speciality: fail-safe systems
The Vienna-based company is the global market leader in safety-critical control centres. It develops and supplies hardware and software that meets particularly high safety standards. Whilst the company is headquartered in Austria, it operates worldwide. Consequently, 95 per cent of its turnover comes from countries outside Austria.
“For a safer world” – that is the group’s slogan. And this philosophy is reflected not only in its product range but also in the very DNA of the entire company. That is why particular attention is paid to modern internal systems, such as business management software. Security at every level, in other words – both externally and internally. No wonder Frequentis AG adopted SAP at an early stage – as far back as 1994.
Over the years, the company has expanded and now employs 2,200 staff. The SAP system grew steadily alongside it, but eventually reached its limits. And why the comparison with a spaceship? Well, we’ll come to that in a moment. In any case, it was clear at the time that a new, improved, modern SAP ERP system needed to be implemented – SAP S/4HANA. And our scc team was ready to help.
Conversion mastered, mission accomplished
