What is #accelerate

#asccelerate is the scc process model for SAP implementations. It combines best practices, tried-and-tested tools and years of project experience with a single aim: to make SAP projects faster, more secure and more efficient. The name says it all: the English term ‘to accelerate’ means ‘to speed up’. For our model, we have borrowed this term, drawing inspiration from the so-called ‘accelerators’ in the SAP world. Accelerators are standardised templates that help to implement projects in a structured and time-efficient manner. scc takes this principle and supplements it with its own tools, processes and expertise – hence #asccelerate.

#asccelerate is based on the established SAP Activate methodology, but has been enhanced by SCC to include additional project management, change management and best-practice components. The #asccelerate process model is divided into six defined project phases: 1. Discover (Analysis and Strategy) 2. Prepare (Project Preparation) 3. Explore (Requirements Analysis) 4. Realise (Implementation) 5. Deploy (Roll-out and Go-live) 6. Run (Operation and Optimisation) Each phase ends with a so-called ‘quality gate’ before the project moves on to the next phase. A quality gate is a defined checkpoint at which it is verified whether all agreed deliverables, quality requirements and prerequisites have been met before the next project phase begins. This ensures that risks are identified at an early stage and undesirable developments are avoided.
